“Inspired to Create”
Artwork by Sherman Seniors

Art Show July 28 - September 6 , 2023

The Sherman Library is pleased to present “Inspired to Create” artwork by Sherman Seniors. The Sherman Commission on Aging is partnering with the Sherman Library to showcase the talents of Sherman Senior Artists.

Whether it be painting, photography, glass or other forms of artistic expressions, there is amazing talent and a shared love of art in our community’s seniors. Some of our seniors have been creating for years, some have recently picked up a paint brush and taken a class. But all have the shared energy and desire to capture something special in a photo, to make paint come alive, to add color and shape to glass….to create.

The participating artists include: Andy Alexander, Suzanne Ashley, Janet Campbell, John Cilio, Carolyn Cohen, Lynne Gomez, Tony Gomez, Ted Hollander, Linda T Hubbard, Laura Jagodzinski, Herb Kroeger,Charlene Leichter, Susan Locke, Loes Ostergren, Laura Paradiso, Kathy Peck, Alan Peckolick,Gina Romano, Virginia Schaffer, Denise Schlesinger, Ed Smith, Trudy Smith, Carol Sperling, Alvin J Tuck IV, Art Von Plachecki and Janet Wey. Some have lived here a long time, some are newer to Sherman, but they all bring to this community a love of art and the desire to create. We invite you to come see the range of creative talent our seniors have in Sherman.

The show will be on display at the Sherman Library from July 28 – September 6, 2023. There will be an artist reception on Friday, July 28, 2023 6:00–8:00 pm.
