The Sherman Library Announces
the Second Annual Golden Ticket Drawing!

We can’t have the Sherman Library Winter Gala, but we can still have a ball!  Out of concern for the safety of our patrons due to the spread of Covid, The Sherman Library has cancelled the Winter Gala, but not the seasonal excitement.  Our Second Annual Golden Ticket Drawing will open with a bang in the same spirit of holiday pleasure and support of the Sherman Library as the Gala.  

This year, look for more--more tickets, more prizes, more chances to win, plus a fantastic Grand Prize.  The Drawing will be held via Zoom at 7 PM on December 4th at the Library (link will be published the week before). The tickets, which cost $20 apiece and will be on sale mid-October, offer a chance at one of ten Golden Ticket rewards:

● A gift card redeemable at Amazon sponsored Power Door Products (value $250)

● Gift cards for Happy Acres, Fort Hill Farm, and Marble Valley Farm sponsored by Hudson Valley Preservation (value $250)

● Gift cards to local eateries The Painted Lemon and The Old Oak Tavern Sponsored by Irit Granger, William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty (Total value $250)

● Gift card for home heating oil from Mitchell Oil sponsored by Pamby Motors

Tickets will be available at the library, online at shermanlibrary.org., and in front of the Sherman IGA on October 16th, October 24th, November 6th, and, if any remain, November 13th .  Anyone is eligible, just plunk down your $20 and tune in on December 4th to watch the excitement (be although you don’t have to be present to win). 

The Library relies upon community support; generally, over half of its operating budget comes from fundraising events, grants, and membership. The Holiday Gala is one of the major fundraising events, and the Golden Ticket drawing is one way to help offset the loss of funding caused by necessary cancellations of in-person events.
