Support the Library – Volunteer

The Sherman Library Association has a long tradition of volunteering. Over 175 adult and student volunteers contribute their time and energy throughout the year. Whether participating as a member of our Board of Trustees, manning the circulation desk or helping with fundraising events, volunteers are an integral part of the our library each and every day.

Volunteers also work on many behind the scenes tasks. They help maintain our building and grounds, organize the holiday party, barn sale and book sales, curate our monthly art shows, edit the library newsletter, design brochures, develop our membership database, facilitate book discussions, song swaps, children’s programs and so much more.

Sherman Library volunteers are a committed and enthusiastic group who give our library its character and personality. Ranging from age eight to eighty something, they help keep our library running smoothly year after year.

If you are interested in volunteering at the Sherman Library call us or just stop by and let us know what you’d like to do. You’ll feel good about helping your community and you’re likely to make some wonderful friends.

Thank you for supporting the Sherman Library!
